About Us

Being the mother of two small children inspired Paula to create nursery items that are fun yet innocent, classic and timeless. Her love of vintage fabrics led to the creation of Wee Small Hours Quilts with its emphasis on retro-themes and high quality craftsmanship.

The new and vintage fabrics used are 100% cotton (unless an original piece is too gorgeous to resist!) so that each item has warmth and washability and breathes and wears beautifully. The pieces are lovingly handcrafted, mostly as one-offs, so that each is as special and individual as the child it belongs to.

The quilts are larger than a standard cot size so that they remain tucked in all night and can accompany the child from cot to big bed, draping comfortably over the end of the bed to provide many years of cosy pleasure. The small blankets are backed in the softest cotton chenille and are truly multi-purpose moving from bassinette to pram (without wrapping around the wheels!) or for use as a change mat, dolly blanket or favourite snuggly blankie.

With co-ordinating ginghams, spots and stripes to continue the vintage theme Wee Small Hours Quilts also creates adorable bibs, cushions and nursery ornaments which add a touch of retro charm to any environment.
